Dendera is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and sits on the road between the Red Sea and Luxor, which makes it the perfect first stop.

The Temple of Hathor still has its colourful astronomical ceilings and rooftop chapels, and is usually far quieter than the sites in Luxor. After Dendera, the day continues to Karnak and the West Bank of Luxor with your guide, and lunch by the Nile.

It is a long day, but the reward is two of the most memorable temples in Egypt.
